Proptech HqO Acquires Smart Office Platform
Proptech firm HqO has acquired Symbiosy, a smart-office platform created by workspace provider HB Reavis.
The transaction follows the recent announcement of its $50+ million Series D funding in October 2023, along with the launch of the firm’s Real Estate Experience (REX) platform.
The acquisition expands the Boston-based firm’s geographical footprint, especially in European business hubs, including London, Berlin and Warsaw.
Symbiosy provides employee experience, data management, and visualization technologies that support enhanced working experiences for increased performance, according to HqO.
“Adding Symbiosy to the HqO family is the perfect fit with our vision to put people and their experiences of space at the center of the real estate industry. By pairing HqO’s newly launched REX Platform with Symbiosy’s deep expertise in creating intelligent and innovative workplaces, we are reimagining the future of real estate experience,” said Chase Garbarino, co-founder and CEO at HqO.
Symbiosy is HqO’s third acquisition in two years. The company bought Leesman, a startup that assesses employee workplace experience, in June 2022, and Office App, a European tenant and employee engagement platform, in November 2021.
HqO has powered over 400 million square feet at over 700 properties in 32 countries through its REX platform.
