HqO Announces Executive Appointments as Part of Continued Global Expansion
Industry leaders Vinay Sachdev and Petula Lucey join fast-growing proptech firm whose data-driven platform is shaping the future of the built environment around the world
BOSTON — January 25, 2023 — HqO, the world’s leading workplace experience platform, today announced the expansion of its leadership team with the additions of Vinay Sachdev as senior vice president of global engineering and Petula Lucey as senior vice president of global marketing. These newly created positions support the company’s continued growth both domestically and internationally.
“Vinay and Petula share HqO’s entrepreneurial spirit and will be instrumental in helping us scale our platform and deliver more impactful solutions to new and existing customers across our global portfolio,” said Chase Garbarino, CEO of HqO. “Our ability to attract such exceptional talent to HqO speaks to the influence our company has at this transformational time as businesses across industries seek to maximize connectivity in all spaces, the workplace and beyond.”
Sachdev joins HqO from Benchling, a software company in the biotechnology research and development space, where he was head of customer engineering, leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex software integrations. In his more than 20 years of experience, he has also held leadership positions at Lookout, RSA Security and Dell/EMC Corporation.
“Because HqO serves such a broad range of clients and end users – from property managers, to corporate decision-makers, to employees and residents – I will have the opportunity to apply my experience across multiple industries and create software that optimizes the experience of real estate,” said Sachdev. “This is a revolutionary era for the state of the workplace in particular, and HqO is positioned to make a significant impact.”
Lucey most recently served as head of corporate affairs and marketing – Americas at Lendlease, a leading global real estate and investment group. In that capacity, she led the development and execution of the firm’s marketing and communication strategy for the Americas region. She previously held executive-level marketing positions at large real estate and financial services firms including Tishman Speyer, Cushman & Wakefield and Merrill Lynch.
“If we’ve learned anything from the last few years, it is that bringing people together improves physical and mental well-being, productivity, trust and empathy. That’s why I’m excited to join HqO, a company that is already showing, as more people return to the office, just how experience in the workplace can – and should – improve. The impact on building owners, operators, occupiers and employees alike is undeniable,” said Lucey. “HqO’s unique ability to turn big data into actionable insights that enhance the experience of not only the office of today and tomorrow, but also the larger built environment differentiates this platform in the highly competitive proptech marketplace, creating tremendous opportunity for growth in 2023.”
Since launching in 2018, HqO has grown to include more than 200 employees across offices in Boston, New York, Amsterdam, London and Paris, serving more than 100 clients, including some of the most recognizable companies in the world.
